Want To Blog For Business? Find Out How To Start Blogging Fast.

By Eric Henderson

One of the questions asked most frequently about internet marketing from business owners is, "How to start blogging?"

Based on the fact that you're reading this article, I'm sure it's safe to say that you understand that using a blog for your business will help you attract more customers. But you're wondering how to start blogging so you can get started fast.

And so with that said, let's talk a little bit first off here about what may be preventing you from blogging. For most, and perhaps for you, a lot of times it's just a sheer feeling of overwhelm. You may be afraid of technology. Or you think it takes too much time to blog.

It may be that you're not sure what to write or what kind of content to create, so you keep putting it off. Maybe you're using perfectionism as an excuse, so you don't create anything at all, instead of creating something you can start with.

The other side of why people don't blog consistently is because they are lacking the belief in themselves, that they really are an expert. They ask themselves, "why would anybody read a blog post that I wrote?" If this sounds at all familiar, you must change your thinking.

You have to recognize that you ARE an expert, and that no one else knows what you know. Everyone has an expertise in something - but you have to get it out in front of the public eye, or no one will ever know. They'll end up going to your competitors instead, and I'm sure you don't want to see that happen!

The steps outlined below is a process that you can follow to learn how to start blogging right away. Do these steps each week and each day and you'll have a successful blog in no time. Here's the process:

1. Keyword Research. This is all about using Google's free Keyword Research Tool to see what people are searching for related to your market niche. If keyword research is something you do not want to do, then use your own market intelligence for now.

Think about the questions you get on a daily basis from your customers or prospects. What is your solution for them? How do you help them?

2. Create An Editorial Calendar. We offer a template at the link below - but using any editorial calendar will help you outline your articles days or weeks ahead, and it will help you stay on track.

3. Create a Mindmap. Now you are ready to organize your thoughts around each blog post you create by using a Mind Map tool. We use a free tool called "FreeMind", which you can find using Google Search.

4. Write Your Content! Now you're ready! You can type it out yourself, you can record it with a digital recorder and send it out to be transcribed, or you can see the software we use to write our posts at the link below.

The most important thing here is that when it comes to SEO (Search Engine Optimization), that your keyword is in the title, the first sentence and in a few other paragraphs of your blog post. It also needs to be in the last paragraph of the post.

Last but not least, you need to include a Call to Action at the end of the blog post. This is an offer of some kind - a consultation, coupon, free report, etc - that gets the reader to take action. They'll either contact you or enter their email to download the offer - but either way you want them to be an active subscriber to your list.

If you follow all these steps and tips for your blog, you'll be in the best position to get more traffic, and then turn your traffic and visitors into customers.

You'll want to write at least 3 blogs a week, and keep them at about 500 - 700 words (about the size of this article). Doing all of this is how to start blogging for your business.

Now this isn't just how to start blogging fast, but it's how you position yourself online as an authority in your field. It's how prospects will start to view you as an expert at what you do.
